A Chance To Say Hello
Journal Entry: Fri Feb 9, 2007, 11:03 PM
First of all, this is not my first DA account, but i really wanted to start all over and begin from scratch. I drew mostly anime, and you might be able to tell that from my work, but I am trying to get away from that style. I no longer want to draw in that style as it doesn't appeal to me as much as it used to. I really think there are way to many anime artist on this site and I don't want to be like that. I have drawn in that style for a while, and change is hard. Any tips in improving my work would be appreciated.
I have only recently taken art seriously, although I have been doing it a while. I am a sophomore at a Fine Art school in PA, but only recently got a chance to get into some of the art class because it is not an all art institute. I have learned a lot in the few classes I have had and look forward to applying that information to my art and also trying to help others strive to be better.
When I look around DeviantArt, I see nothing but inspiration. Whether it be some of the amazing professional artist here, or other artist that are struggling to find a voice, or a style that works for them. It is a pleasure to see others grow as an artist and it is something I plan on doing for a while.
I really love all styles of art, and I don't really prefer one more than another. I love the ideas of creativity and messages trying to be conveyed. Art really is a window into the soul and I would not have it any other way.
To sum it up, I plan on spending more time on here than before, and I am looking forward to helping other artist improve as much possible. I am at the stage where I am experimenting with everything and I can only hope that others on this site can do the same for me. That is all for now, so thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing you around on the site.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave where you arrive safely in a beautiful and well preserved body. I want to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body worn out, and screaming "HOT DAMN what a ride!"
